About us

The idea behind MyPaintCode

Finding the right paint colour for your car shouldn't be difficult. Yet identifying the correct paint code can be surprisingly tricky, especially when your car needs a small repair.

A touch-up pen or spray paint in a nearly matching shade isn't always good enough. Even a slight difference can stand out once the paint is applied. That's why we created MyPaintCode: to make it easier to find your car's original factory paint colour.

How we help

With MyPaintCode, you can use your vehicle registration number or vehicle identification number (VIN) to look up your car's paint code. You can also browse our paint code catalogue to find paint codes and colour names, or read our guides explaining where to find the paint code on different makes of car.

We're working to cover as many car makes and models as possible. However, not every vehicle can be identified automatically, and we believe in being clear about what our service can and cannot do.

Can't find your paint code?

If our system can't find your paint code, you won't be charged for the lookup. If you need help, please contact us and we'll do our best to help you find the code.

Our aim is simple: to make it easier to find the right paint colour before you start repairing your car's paintwork.
